Management

  • Misan Kofi-Senaya - Managing Director

Misan Kofi-Senaya - Managing Director 

Misan is a Fellow of the Institute of Capital Market Registrars, and also a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Federation of International women Lawyers and was the immediate past financial secretary of FIDA Lagos.  She has over 23 years experience in securities register/data administration business gained whilst with Centre Point and United Securities. She has considerable experience in securities register/data administration services, having managed all aspects of the business over the years.

Before joining DataMax Registrars limited as Registrar/CEO, she was the head of securities register/data administration of United Securities Limited from 1999 to 2005. Prior to this, she started off teaching law at the University of Ibadan, Law Faculty then practicing law for a year after which she joined Centre Point Securities Limited.

She holds an LLB degree from Buckingham University, United Kingdom (1984) and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986. She has attended numerous courses in share registration, handwriting and signature analysis as well as in other diverse areas such as export promotion and in total quality management.

Misan was recently appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of the Investors Protection Fund of The Nigerian Stock Exchange, as a representative of the Institute of Capital Market Registrars.

Enite Jarikre -Head, Financial Control Unit

Before joining the company in 2006, she was the Treasury Accountant of Arco Petrochemical Engineering Company Limited, a position she held for 3 years where she gained a lot of experience in funds management and business administration.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Benin and is also an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Accountants as well as the Nigerian Institute of Management. She has participated in numerous seminars and training programmes and currently heads the Financial Control Unit of the Company.

  • Kamal Okunola -Head, Register Management Unit

Kamal Okunola -Head, Register Management Unit

Kamal is an Associate member of the Institute of Capital Market Registrars. He is a graduate of  Mathematics Education (BSc.Ed), and  holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Statistics, Test and Measurement from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife and a research Masters degree (M.A.Ed.) in the same field. Mr. Kamal Okunola started his career in the academia under the employment of Ondo State Teaching Service Commission up until 2009 when he voluntarily resigned.

He joined DataMax Registrars Ltd in 2009 and currently heads the Register Management Unit.

  • Maria Tobi -Head, Transaction Services Unit

Maria Tobi -Head, Transaction Services Unit

She coordinates the activities of Transaction Services Unit of DataMax Registrars Limited. She has over 20 years experience in Share Registration. She started her career with Centre-Point Securities Ltd now (Unity Registrars Ltd) from 1990 to 2006, before joining DataMax Registrars Ltd in July, 2006, where she has worked in various units. She holds a B.Sc. in Government and Public Administration from Abia State University. She has attended various training on Share Registration Services including Forensic - Handwriting and Fingerprint Analysis. She is an Associate member of the Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ICMR).

 

Technology

Our robust application (RegStar) runs on the latest Structured Query Language (“SQL”). With the SQL Database Management Systems, our database can be queried to provide adequate information/data as required by our clients. Furthermore, our real-time computer system enables us to reflect changes in shareholders’ details and share ownership whilst maintaining direct automated links with shareholders, our client companies, and CSCS.

  • Kolapo Omidire – Chairman

Kolapo Omidire – Chairman

Kolapo was at different times Company Secretary to three publicly quoted companies, namely- Dunlop Nigeria plc, DN Meyer plc, and Guaranty Trust Bank plc for a period spanning 15 years. He joined Guaranty Trust Bank plc as a Senior Manager in July 1996. He rose to the position of General Manager responsible for the strategic management of the Bank’s legal services & corporate secretariat, administration and facilities management, corporate affairs, safety & security, and special projects.

As the Legal Adviser to GTBank for over 10 years, he was responsible for the documentation of several transactions including the Eurobond, the Bank’s GDR, financial transactions with multilateral institutions like IFC, Afrexim, and FMO, as well as the listing of the Bank’s shares on the London Stock Exchange.

He assumed the headship of the Bank’s Retail Banking Division in July 2006, [combining that with his assignment as the Bank’s Company Secretary] to implement the Bank’s retail strategy and within one year, he succeeded in increasing customer base by over 35%, with significant increase in balance sheet. He was at a time the Managing Director of Mansard Insurance Plc.

In furtherance of GTBank’s business expansion drive, Kolapo was again requested to establish GTHomes Limited, which commenced business in January 2008 as a primary mortgage institution. He ran the company as Managing Director/ CEO, until he finally disengaged from the Bank’s services in April 2009.

He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of DataMax Registrars Limited

  • Nicholas Nyamali, FCIS – Director

Nicholas Nyamali, FCIS – Director

Nicholas is the Managing Director of Investment One Financial Services limited as well as a director of GTB Securities Limited and several other companies. He has about 20 years experience working in the investment and securities, banking, management consultancy and legal profession both in Nigeria and internationally. Nicholas obtained his law degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife and is called to the Nigerian Bar. He holds a Masters degree in Law (LL.M), a Masters of Science degree in Economics (MSc Economics), both from the University of Lagos; as well as an MBA from the London Business School, United Kingdom, specializing in strategy and international business management. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, UK and Nigeria; as well as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment, UK.

Nicholas started his career as a barrister and solicitor with the law firm of Haruna & Co. He then joined Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), where he rose to the position of senior consultant in the Business Advisory and Company Secretarial Group. He joined Guaranty Trust Bank, working at various times in the legal, corporate bank and corporate finance teams. He was Legal Adviser/Head of Legal Department of the Bank before moving to Port Harcourt to lead the Bank’s corporate banking business in the Eastern region as Regional Manager.  He thereafter moved to London, where he worked with the Debt Capital Market Group of Barclays Capital (the securities trading and investment banking arm of Barclays Bank). He subsequently joined McKinsey and Company, the preeminent global firm of management and strategy consultants, working in the London and Johannesburg offices. While in McKinsey & Company, he served as a strategy consultant to several global corporations including investment banks and hedge funds clients based in Europe, America and Asia. He returned to Nigeria in 2008 to partner with GTBank in setting up (Investment One Financial Services Limited), where he currently works as managing director.

Nicholas is a non- Executive Director in the Company.

  • Gbenga Runsewe – Director

Gbenga Runsewe – Director

An accomplished IT professional with over 20 years experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry. Gbenga Runsewe started his career as a Computer Engineer and moved up quickly into management roles, leading teams of IT engineers. The Portfolio of his achievements includes implementing and managing projects of major significance. In 1995, while working as the network manager at Info Communications, he supervised the setting up of a managed services network that was eventually connected to the global United States Sprint network. This was under a Reseller Partnership Operating Agreement and was officially Sprint’s first network node in Africa. While at Info Communications, he also played a lead role in the implementation of Nigeria’s first commercial email service, tagged Sprintmail. He moved on from there to join Linkserve, also a pioneer Internet Service Provider in Nigeria.

After several years in various technical management roles, Gbenga decided to explore other challenges. In 1998, he joined GS Telecom (now referred to as Vodacom) as the Business Development Manager and resigned in 2004 as the Executive Account Manager. From here he relocated to South Africa where he joined a technology consulting oriented company, GDT Technologies, as a management consultant. He returned to the country in 2008 to join Internet Solutions Nigeria as the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. Internet Solutions is a Pan African IP based organization that has offices in 6 African countries (head office in South Africa) and provide's services in 32 African countries. At Internet Solutions, he is responsible for growing the company’s revenue and customer base, driving profit improvements and improving brand awareness.
